So I bought a new PC over the weekend and reinstalled cod uo, You have any idea which files I could transfer over so I don't have to like redo my name and stuff like that? I know how to do this for cod 4 but not for cod uo.

Also, what is the password for vent? had to redownload that.....

You would have to look for the file named uoconfig_mp.cfg  it is located in your uo folder and any mod folder that you have. Put them back into the folders that they came from to have your settings the same for that mod.

Thx Sarge. I think I still have to redo my name manually, I basicly put every file from the old to the new folder lol, but it didn't work.

Is your game running from the Virtual Store? If so that's where you need to put the cfg's


Users\*username*\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Call of Duty\uo  
Your mod folders should be listed there also...... it could be in program files or root of your install but this is an example of where it is on windows 7 for me..........of course *username* would be whatever user your using............... hope this helps you.

Ah.. I only copied my program files(C:\Program Files) from my old harddisc. So I guess thats the problem then, In that file there were quite alot of uoconfig_mp.cfg files. Ah well. Ill just leave it like this then. Thanks

Wolsy, you really didn't have to do a "fresh install" unless you wanted to. The only thing you had to,"install" was Punkbuster. Just needed to copy a few files from 3-locations and you would be up and running.

Once installed, they game folder can be moved and it will still work even to another computer WITHOUT installing. However, the game will then look to its install folder for Punkbuster and profile files.

Yea I know. But I have a gaming mouse that automatically detects installed games, so i can use my macros (I got macros for defuseing betty's/ setting betties) So I had to reinstall for my mouse to find CoD UO. Anyways it's all good now. Sarge helped me out and I found the pb files on this website, so I guess its all working now.

Wolsy, what brand keyboard? I have a Logitech that I need to write a macro or the Logitech mouse. I have a game that I need to keep open, after a short period of inactivity it closes and I can get attacked and lose my stuff when offline.

My keyboard is microsoft (Microsoft Wireless Keyboard 1000),. just a normal one. Although I think i can write macros for this keyboard aswell. But I use a logitech mouse (Logitech G403) on which I use macro's alot. Especially for other games.
