Government Warning regarding purchase of UPS uniforms:

There has been a huge purchase, $32,000 worth, of United Parcel Service (UPS) uniforms on eBay over the last 30 days. This could represent a serious threat as bogus drivers (terrorists) can drop off anything to anyone with deadly consequences! If you have ANY questions when a UPS driver appears at your door they should be able to furnish VALID I.D.
Additionally, if someone in a UPS uniform comes to make a drop off or pick up, make absolutely sure! they are driving a UPS truck. UPS doesn't make deliveries or pickups in anything, except a company vehicle. If you have a problem, call your local law enforcement agency right away!

TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY! Tell everyone in your office, your family, your friends, etc. Make people aware so that we can prepare and/or avoid terrorist attacks on our people! Thank you for your time in reviewing this and PLEASE send to EVERYONE on your list, even if they are friend or foe. We should all be aware!

this came to me from a person i know in law enforcement so i thought i would pass it along.

DAM GOOD advice MAKE SURE THEY ARE WHO THEY APPEAR AND ARE SUPPOSED TO BE.

That's interesting, definitely a good way for someone to do harm to people especially this time of year with all the deliveries and things. But this has been circulating around since 2003 or earlier and is  pretty much summed up as a hoax. But it would be a slick move on a terrorist or demented person.

I think Those are good links Sarge But in the same Breath I think we all need to be Careful in this day and age of all scams and all people that we deal with. We need to be extra vigilant with the people we deal with. I still think that it is a good idea to always check I.D. Badges and if you are expecting a package know when it is coming they have tracking numbers and if a friend or relative is sending something get that number. small little things that will keep us all safe and be around for Holidays to come.

I'm not too worried about a fake UPS driver, they don't pick up at my house and if a fake one makes a delivery certain mis-delivered items are mine to keep by law. I am not important enough to get anthrax, a bomb or anything else dangerous. (I make sure I don't have that much life insurance coverage.)

However, I do see that someone in a courier's outfit could possibly pass through an extra layer of security, but then again, so could a non-uniformed person.

LOL, when I first read the title of this thread, and saw that Pist was the last poster on it, I misread it as "FAKE USB DRIVERS" !

lol ya red the fake USB drivers are delivering packages now.

this was passed along to me and i thought i would share with the people that are most likely to get a fake USB driver at their door and the people i would hate to see taken out by a fake USB driver.
