Windows 10

When I upgraded my son's computer, I had to restart it and then go to Windows Update and install updates before the video output was correct. I also had to download the Windows 10 NVIDIA driver directly from the NVIDIA website before games played correctly. Check all your hardware including mouse and keyboard for updated Windows 10 DRIVERS.

did that, mouse didnt have a driver for windows 10 yet. all though i have a microsoft mouse..
If you are not COMPLETELY STATISFIED roll back to Windows 7 for a while, it is very easy and takes only about 15 minutes to completely roll back. I've done it several times during the "preview" period. It still leaves the install files on your system so you can easily upgrade again when the drivers have matured.
I did the windows 10 download, thinking the files would just sit on my hard disk until I was ready to upgrade, but noooooo, Microsoft took over and started the installation without my permission. While it was doing its thing, I was afraid to stop it, so I used my iphone and looked up info on W10 and found out, among other things, that I will not have any control over updates (MS forces the updates, whereas currently with W7 I choose when to check for and install updates). So I waited and waited until it finished installing, at least to the point where I had to agree to the EULA, and I said NO THANKS, so it stopped the installation. Until about 1 minute later when it started the download all over again automatically. So I hit stop download this time! Nothing has gone away. I think I'll wait a bit and see if MS improves it, after some true customer feedback time has passed, before I do anything.
HELP!
Windows 10 update just won't go away! If I walk away from my pc with Windows running, it tries to install Win10, tying up my machine. I have to Decline the EULA to get it to stop and go way (again).
How do I stop this, unless and until I want it to happen? I have my Win7Pro windows update set to notify me if updates are ready, but not to download or install them until I say so.
I use Win7Pro to run my Dragon Naturally Speaking and Intuit Turbotax, and any COD:UO maps that the Mac won't run (which is rare), so I don't need this headache.

I would normally suggest you let it complete normally and then roll back but being Mac OS X you would be better contacting Apple Support. However, go to Windows Update and change "How You Get Updates" to "Never Check" or "Download but Let Me Choose When to Install them". Then restart. Good Luck!
I found the fix. It's not a RedRock or a Mac problem, it's a Windows problem.
Ever since I started the Win10 update path (but didn't finish), ALL my Win7Pro updates show the update progess window as being "Downloading Win 10" even though it's downloading and installing ONLY Win7Pro updates! That is, the Windows software tells me it's downloading Win10 but it's not. Once I figured that out, I just let the process run, and my Win7Pro updates get done but Win10 doesn't. (I have to uncheck the auto-checked Win10 update as an optional update, or it will try to download it again.)
So I'm now only bothered by Windows reminding me everytime I log on to the PC side of my computer, that my Win10 upgrade is ready for downloading, and I have to dismiss that Window. And yes, I've set Windows Update to look for updates ONLY when I tell it to.
