Destiny 2 is free until November 18th. It came out just over a year ago. You will need a Blizzard Battle Net account and set up SMS to verify account, you see a notification that allowa you to download the game for free.

Specs require a minimum GTS 660 video card and 6GB or RAM to play, but you can still grab the free copy and play when your computer is upgraded am meets thise specs.

Last two days Ventrilo server is off-line. I don't know the specifics but that's not important now. Ventrilo has been decent over the years but it requires a hosting service, and sometimes it's been glitchy. A lot of people use TeamSpeak but once again it requires a hosting company and hosting fees.

My son is an avid gamer and uses Discord. He showed me how to use it and it is really quite simple. It's lika a peer to peer chat although it can create a static chat servers through Discord itself. A user, like you or me, can create a temporary server for 24 hours or permanent server and the creator is the Super-Admin but can delegate Admin powers to others. So even though one person creates a voice server on a particular night, when he leaves, others can continue on chatting without the server creator being in the chat or even having his computer up.

Everyone needs to register on DiscordApp.com with their email and create a user name. Discord will then append a "#" and 4 digits to their user name which is the person's Discord ID. Mine is tkolarik#1373 and I can create a nickname in Discord (i.e. Pistazien) so everyone knows who is who. Then we add friends using the Discord ID.

When someone creates a voice chat server, a http link is created which allows others to join the chat. The link to my voice server is: https://discord.gg/sMYDUuu
This link could be posted in the forum or sent via the Discord app or join a permanent server.

By default, communications are always on but you can push-to-talk. Discord comes in two flavors, a browser-based version and a desktop app. The desktop app is required for the push-to-talk feature.

Anyone is welcome to try Discord and add me and go to the voice server link I posted here. Also, it allows text chat and post small images, gif, text files, etc.

It seems easier to download Ventrilo 3 from their website and just reinstall. It's fast, and just need to get the server IP and IP port from the old Vent and add the pasword that everyone should have memorized by now. Then, set to run as administrator.

This is so cool, I accidentally ran accross it on the internet.

After hearing about and watich videos about sous vide cookers, I bought one and found it to work exactly as explained and I made some incredible meals with so far. Iv'e done steaks a few times, also burgers, chicken, brisket as a pastrami, and a pork loin roast. Chicken is tough to do to get the temp and time right, I just need to do more research and watch other people's videos. But the big advantage is that food comes out the perfect doneness or texture. Some people wonder how you can cook chicken, for example, at 145-degrees and be safe wheneveryone tells you it has to be cooked to 165-degrees. Well, it's 165-degrees for like 10 seconds but if you cook at a lower temperature, and hold it at that temp for a considerable time, the pathogens will die also. It's kind of like flash pasturizing milk or regular pasturizing, one is a high temp for a short time the other a lower temp for a longer time. So, I can get a medium or medium rare hamburger without worrying about e-coli, etc. There are government charts showing the time vs temp for various meats.

I can tell you one face for sure, I all the internet providers are fighting for it, then it's not good for me.

RedRock needs to buy the game : Surgeon Simulator. It looks hilarious, for a couple minutes anyway!

Netflix already pays extortion money to companies such as Comcast. Comcast told Netflix years ago that providing their service puts additional stress on their network so the made the and similar providers pay to make their content available.

But you are totally right going forward. Trump is allowing the FCC to change how providers are classified and then they are free to do as they wish.

People are getting away from 'classic cable' and going with other option because it is too expensive for the few programs they watch. I myself watch 2 shows per week. My wife and son pretty much have the TV for hours straight. But even with the shows they watch, it would be cheaper to buy the shows via Apple or Amazon and cancel cable completely. And this is where Net Neutrality or Open Internet comes into play. Without it, your ISP could charge you and additional $50 per month to download from Apple, Amazon, Roku, Hulu, or any other site.

They says that removing the Net Neutrality restrictions will open up the ability for people and business to use the "Fast Lane". Which this is total BS, because the fast lane is the normal lane and for this to happen your current download rates woud be reduced to create the Fast Lane.

I actually did it in the Air Force at San Antonio, TX. I had an enlistment guarantee which they couldn't fulfill, so I got out and joined the Army and didn't have to do it again.

The actual test was the a component of the battery of tests I took upon entering the Army. The group of tests was either called the ASVAB, Armed Services Vovational Aptitude Battery test or the Army General Classification Tests. The individual test score that they accepted was the GT score. Almost every position/job in the military had a GT score requirement. For example, Officer Candidate school required a 110 while Army Flight School required a 115.

To my understanding, the same people who started creating IQ or aptitude tests wrote these tests for the military. Mensa requires a test score representing the top 2% for admission which generally equates to a IQ of 130. The GT test I took was changed after 1980 so only scores until then were acceptable. The minimum score they accepted was a 136 on this test roughly approximating an IQ of 130. My test grade was 146.

I found out about a month, that an IQ test I took in 1974, graded high enough and was acceptable to Mensa as proof of eligibility. So after obtaining the certified document I submitted it. Today I got a letter saying my document meets their eligibility requirements!

It means nothing but really pisses off my wife, she still doesn't believe it, lol!

I know it is utterly self-serving but I'm actually proud of it!
